Milk paint kitchen cabinets are one of the most important things. Kitchen remodel can be very expensive. If you don’t have money to remodel the kitchen, painting your kitchen cabinet can give your kitchen a new look at an affordable cost. Painting a closet can be a simple task if you put it in the work to prepare it properly before painting. Here are some tips that will make painting your closet easy:
Remove all cabinet doors. Do not paint the door vertically because you can get droplets and poor appearance. After you release each door, take the tape and give the door number. This will make it easier when you go to replace the door. Remove all hardware. If you really want a renovated look, consider buying new hardware. However, if you store the same hardware, you still need to delete it. Painted hardware is a sign of a lazy painter.
Wash and dry the cupboard before painting. Use the Trisodium Phosphate (TSP) solution to wash all cabinets and shelves. This will remove the first layer of oil and dirt which will accumulate in the kitchen cabinet. Don’t skip this step, even though the cabinet looks clean. Surface sand, use 220 grit sand paper and rub the surface of the cabinet until the surface is dull. Take a clean, damp cloth and clean the wood dust.
