Wash and dry the cupboard before painting. Use the Trisodium Phosphate (TSP) solution to wash all cabinets and shelves. This will remove the first layer of oil and dirt which will accumulate in the kitchen cabinet. Don’t skip this step, even though the cabinet looks clean. Surface sand, use 220 grit sand paper and rub the surface of the cabinet until the surface is dull. Take a clean, damp cloth and clean the wood dust.
